Our Opinion
|
|
Zanzibar Palace is located just around the corner from Mercury's Restuarant and has been lovingly restored by its new owners. If you are looking for a real taste of Stone Town but with the benefit of air-conditioning then we higly recommend this hotel. With only 9 rooms you are assured a warm welcome and personal attention during your stay. Towards the expensive end of the price range but well worth the extra in our view.

YOUR HOSTS
Zanzibar Palace was gutted and superbly restored by its Belgian owners to offer you a real taste of Zanzibar including its staircases, balconies and views across to neighbouring buildings. Ably assisted by their resident manager Farisa, you will be well looked after at Zanzibar Palace which is highly recommended in you want a couple of nights in Stone Town during your holiday.
THE ROOMS
The hotel has 9 rooms in total set on 3 floors as follows with the suites on the top floor. All rooms have air-conditioning with the exception of the Sherali Suite which being on the top floor has shutters allowing natural ventilation. It has the best views facing towards the sea. Please contact Jim for full details and pictures of these rooms.
THE FOOD & BAR
Zanzibar Palace has a small restaurant next to reception offering tasty breakfasts to order. Evening meals are available on request but generally clients will eat out in Stone Town, with Mercurys Restaurant only a few yards away.
Tucked away behind reception is the Sukinah Bar with its seating area and comfortable cushions for a relaxed drink. A full range of beers, wines and spirits are available and are served until late.
